3. Ensure sound is playing through your speakers and check if ListenTell transcribes the text.

Method 2: Dual Device Simulation

1. Invite a friend to call you via Zoom/WhatsApp/WeChat.

2. Answer the call and turn on speakerphone (or use computer speakers).

3. Run ListenTell to check recognition accuracy.

Mobile use also relies on microphone capture. Please open ListenTell in your mobile browser and use another device (like a PC or tablet) to play sound for testing.

Do I need to download an App?

No. ListenTell is a Web App. You can use it directly by visiting our website on any PC or mobile browser. It works on both Android and iOS.

Can I wear headphones during the interview?

Headphones are NOT recommended.

ListenTell needs to "hear" the interviewer via your microphone. If you wear headphones, the sound goes directly into your ears, and the microphone cannot pick it up, resulting in no transcription.

Solution: Please use speakers to play the audio. Advanced users may use virtual audio cable software (e.g., VB-Cable) to route system sound to the microphone input.

I have a phone interview. How should I use it?

Due to mobile system limitations, a single phone cannot handle a call and browser microphone access simultaneously. You need to:

1. Use one phone to take the call and turn on Speakerphone.

2. Use a second device (PC, tablet, or another phone) to run ListenTell for transcription.

What languages does ListenTell support?

Currently, we mainly support recognition and Q&A in Simplified Chinese and English.
